In "Every Cook Can Govern: At Friendship And Kay Street" (published by Trafford Publishing), author and activist Cynthia Hamilton recounts her 20-year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and the holistic medicines and home care that have helped her live a better life.

Throughout the 1970's and 80s, Hamilton led a very active life. As a scholar, she worked as a professor, teaching at universities across the United States. She was also very active in politics, but everything changed when she was suddenly diagnosed with MS.

To help her enjoy her last years of academic life, Hamilton's mother moved from California to Rhode Island. Using a combination of holistic medicines and private home care, Hamilton was able live happily with MS and, in turn, care for her mother, who was slowly developing dementia. Hamilton says, "The book speaks positively about alternatives to western medicine."

To her readers, Hamilton advises, "Try the road least traveled." She invites readers to visit her at http://www.cmhamilton.com.
