Jeremy and Emily Wells return for another chapter as the fight for the marital rights of underage terminal cancer patients heads to the courtroom in the new book, "Emily 2: Changing the Rules" (published by Trafford Publishing).

Now facing adulthood together, Emily and Jeremy couldn't be happier. Married when she was 12, Emily is cancer-free and a respected nuclear medicine treatment provider. Jeremy, who was 17 when he married Emily, is a psychologist. Their children, inspired by Emily and Jeremy's story, are also interested in cancer research and treatment.

The fight for cancer patients' marital rights, however, isn't over. As several private marriages between underage cancer patients and older partners are discovered, Child Welfare Services annuls them and prosecutes the older partners. Emily and Jeremy take to the courtroom to fight for these marriages and bring comfort to dying cancer patients.

"Emily 2" is intended to raise awareness about the needs of terminal cancer patients, who may wish to experience life to its fullest. Through Emily and Jeremy's struggle, readers will gain a new perspective on cancer patients and their loved ones.

"I want cancer children elevated to celebrity status to show every child why it is important to fight their cancer and live," the author says. "Emily did it and she believes that others can improve their chances by living; and if the desire is there to experience more of life than society would allow, then the rules are made to be changed."
