GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.
As a professional geologist, author Dell R. Foutz has had many encounters with the "Elusive Treasures" (published by Xlibris) Mother Earth has in store underneath. Inspired by his many adventures in exciting places, Foutz shares the thrill he feels everytime he is on a journey to discovering 'real fortune' through an autobiography with a twist.
This account details the exploits of Foutz since he was a boy up until he became a full-fledged 'earth scientist'. As a kid, he seems to be someone jinxed for bad luck. When he grew up, he tried several careers but he eventually ended up as a skilled geologist who seeks his fortune in oil, uranium, gold, fossils and gems. What should be 'great discoveries' still elude him but his number of quests proved to be a good source of fascinating incidents.
A unique and unusual story of a man who brushes close to great wealth often but with the "Elusive Treasures" usually getting away, this humorous and laid-back read will fascinate both geologists and lay readers.
