In her evocative new collection of poems "The Road to Tappahannock and Other Poems" (published by AuthorHouse), author E. M. Adams uses verse to express the sights, sounds and colors of nature.
"Most of the inspiration for this book comes from the coastal areas of the southeastern United States," Adams explains. "Some motivation stems from cruising on boats and ships as well as other forms of traveling."
From Adams' poem "Beach Scene," featured below, was inspired by watching the sea from a balcony overlooking Destin Beach, Fla.:
"Sun and sand and light and sound,
Sun and sea and ocean's pound,
All in sun-kissed light is found,
All in a shining ball is bound."
