Dr. Mary Oz Prescribes 21st Century Allegory for Success in New Book

The book An Invitation To Your Financial Success and Freedom by Dr. Mary Oz is divided into seven chapters that compliments 7 Must Powers. Dr. Mary Oz writes in the manner of allegory: thus the three main characters in this book are "You Never Know," "I Can't Do That," and "Been There Done That." They are or have been pilgrims on the road to financial success and financial freedom. More than a self-help guide into remaking or ordering one's life to adjust to many current developments, it transcends its genre, extending its boundaries into literature.

The first, who is nicknamed Yoony is a doer, as his name implies. Not afraid to take chances, he hooks up with the guru, the third character nicknamed Beeny, through the Internet. As his guide, Beeny (a financially successful person) is well-named and could certainly assist him through the pitfalls and rewards on the path. Canty, the second character, takes a diametrically opposing path to Yoony's and ends up losing. A close-minded person who never ventures far from his comfort zone, Canty walks on a slow track with very limited potential for self-improvement, much less success.

Yoony buys Beeny's materials, studies his work and signs up for his programs. In a way that is unique to the 21st Century, Yoony and Beeny, who do not meet until much later, communicate through the Internet. With alertness and self assurance, Yoony goes his way under Beeny's expert guidance. After each chapter, one finds Yoony's thoughts written on a parchment journal after each stage of the quest. The journal pages represent completion after a stage: Yoony sums up lessons learned on that particular level and it secures his passage into the next. The quest is concluded by a surprising but logical eighth chapter on the Power of Love. Yoony thinks that the quest, in the end, is all about Giving, Helping, and Loving - and that it is not what is learned and done but who he had become in the process. It is not surprising to know that the author herself is an expert in life coaching. She has poured all her expertise into the work and something more, a magic that is hers alone and identifies this work as something more than its dimensions, a talismanic work that not only educates but strengthens its readers spirits for the work to come in this new century.
