Maritza is the wife of Deacon Marcos Knight Sr. She has two children (Vanayda
and Marcos Jr.) one grandson, Mason. As a full time teacher, mother and wife, she received her bachelor's degree, her master's degree in education and her doctorate in Instructional Leadership, Higher Ed. in February of 2012.

Maritza is blessed by God with the extraordinary and anointed gift for memory, recitation and dramatization of the Holy Scriptures in two languages. She specializes in utilizing a variety of methods and techniques to teach mathematics and the Word of God. As a teacher of the Word, she has exercised the authority of the state district, the local Sunday School Superintendent, and the Dean of Education. She served under the supervision of Nathaniel Witcher, as District Missionary in Rhode Island for 9 years until her recent promotion to the State Mother of the Jurisdiction, under the tutelage of the Prelate, Bishop Harvey Lewis. None of the above is as significant as her personal relationship with the Almighty God. Therefore, the most important thing to remember about Dr. Knight is that she truly loves the Lord.
