Down & Out Books announced today that it will launch a new imprint called ABC Group Documentation under the direction of Jeremy Stabile. The imprint will focus on fiction at the edge of the mainstream.
"If I had to pick the driving force behind ABC Group Documentation, it is that the document matters," said Stabile. "This concept conveys to readers that the physical book continues to be a critical component of publishing as well as the documentation of relevant and engaging stories. Genre is not necessarily important. Good gritty writing and fringe literature that is executed well are what's important to me."
"When Jeremy proposed the concept of an imprint that published edgy, gritty fiction, I wanted to be a part of that effort," said Eric Campbell, publisher of Down & Out Books. "I am thrilled that he chose to work with our team to make his vision a reality."
ABC Group's first book will be ABNORMAL MAN, a novel by Grant Jerkins. Subtitled, "Crime is Nature's Experiment on Humanity," it is expected to be published later this year.
