When 7 3/4 year old Iain Thomas steps into his playroom, fantasy takes over and adventure begins. Don Macnab-Stark whisks the readers into a different world of wonder and discovery as Iain Thomas, a self proclaimed authority on Paleontology, and all things dinosaur related, explores the world of fantasy as seen through the eyes of a child.

Iain Thomas lives in a 400 year old house at the edge of Llanbedr, Wales. This beautiful little village with its lush green pastures, crisscrossed with low grey stone walls, dates back before the middle ages. Here stories, legends, and tales of knights, dragons, and dinosaurs abound. It is in this setting, as he steps into his playroom, the excitement begins. Iain Thomas is swept into sheer adventure as he meets the dinosaurs and gets to know them one by one. He meets the carnivores, or meat eaters, as well as the herbivores, who survive on plants alone.

Dinosaurs In My Playroom is brought to life through Nancie Holland's beautifully rendered illustrations. Her delightful drawings will captivate children's hearts as they relate themselves to Iain Thomas and become a part of the magnificent world of fantasy that he explores.

These fun-filled and playful poems will delight both children and adults alike as they revisit this fantasy world time and time again.
