In a moving testament to the truth and timelessness expressed by poet Emily Dickinson when she wrote, "Unable are the loved to die. For love is immortality," Dawn A. Campbell keeps the memory of her own loved one immortal with the publication of "Diary of a Poetic Mind: Reflections of Life and Love" (published by Trafford Publishing).

When Campbell's grandmother suddenly passed away several years ago, it proved to be an inspirational catalyst in the author's life. Although she had been writing poetry prior to her grandmother's death, Campbell embarked on a determined mission to pay tribute to her memory and dedicated herself to the project in earnest.

The writing process proved to be a cathartic experience for Campbell, and "Diary of a Poetic Mind," with just over 100 poems grouped into six sections, runs the emotional gamut of the grieving process. Other topics include platonic and romantic love, sacrifice, perseverance and spiritual growth.

Uplifting in both cadence and theme, "Diary of a Poetic Mind" is a personal glimpse into a journey that will be familiar to many as Campbell unwaveringly touts the benefits and possibilities that come with acceptance and commitment to personal progress. "Life", featured below in excerpt, speaks to the power of optimism:

"Inevitable but true,
You have found you.
Don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Sadly but true,
You have found the true you.
The very essence of who you are,
Through the port holes of your mind.

Live it up,
Celebrate it,
This newfound essence of who you really are."

Find fulfillment and reaffirm a commitment to living each day to the fullest in this accessible new collection.
