Isabella Deveraux is an independent and fearless young woman estranged from her once close-knit family. But when a disturbing dream involving her twin brother shakes her to the core on the eve of her 19th birthday, Isabella resolves to do anything to save Charlie and his schoolmates from the clutches of the devil incarnate - even if that means reconnecting with her estranged family and placing her faith and life in the hands of an intimidating Irish mercenary.

Isabella's journey unfolds in "Isabella's Heart" (published by Archway Publishing), the second book in author Diane Merrill Wigginton's historical romance trilogy.

"I love strong female characters in literature and wanted to write something that I would love to read," Wigginton says. "I have enjoyed the writing process and expressing the many different voices that come to me as I do so... this book is part of a series, but I have tried to make each book able to stand on their own."
