His inspiration came from life out there! "You and all your pains of losses in life,"says author Dereck Allbee. God granted him miracles of life returned. He believes he reached the edge of the boundaries of this world and the next but he keeps on coming back more enriched with wonderment of hope. His destiny was not fulfilled. "Life has to be lived on your own rules of your comfort ability!" he proclaims. "Here I help you find that! You all inspire me! Now this is my giving back." These feelings prompted him to write "If I Only Knew!" (published by Xlibris)

This thought-provoking poem collection is a straight-to-the-point book on almost any issue or problem in life's struggles which are made clear. It talks about real life struggles, raw truth, and arguments talked out to a conclusion.

"Each poem in this book deals with current subject matters that we all see, feel and deal with on a daily basis," says Allbee. "It forces you to see the reality of life's struggles and not like a fairytale romance or one that is perfect. It is raw reality forcing you to look at yourself first to achieve a new you in the end."

"If I Only Knew!" is Allbee's first book of poems. He hopes that by reading his poems, readers will be enlightened with a better sense of self-realization and acceptance of their weaknesses while keeping their faith in God almighty. "Knowing not all questions matter, only the answers that fit your life," concludes Allbee.
