Author Dennis L. Robbins channels the sense of adventure, excitement and pleasure he finds when he is reading a book by unveiling "Brisa's Tales, Journey Home" (published by Xlibris), the second installment in a series of Brisa's Tales books.

In the first volume "Brisa's Tales, Naj's Tear," happenstance leads Brisa to a magical brook where a mysterious creature Naj has been held hostage by a witch's curse. The price of a tear, magically turned into a pearl, will free Naj from the curse. Brisa accepts the challenge. Aided by new found friends and borrowed magic, a vengeful witch is overcome. Brisa casts the pearl into the stream. The creature remains unseen though the price has been paid.

In "Brisa's Tales, Journey Home," the unseen creature Naj is revealed. He is a Mayan sky serpent - the son of the Mayan God, Kululkan. In captivity, Naj's dreams were always to return home to the land of Maya. He is drawn by promise of his mother that she will always wait for him. Naj is going home and his new friend Brisa will go with him. The journey has dangers and challenges. A dark jungle, a shadow-filled city, a hungry leopard and an evil Mayan priest offers tests to friendship and courage.

Brisa's tales has interesting characters both good and evil. There is suspense, humor and achievement in the face of danger; all of that contributing to the high level of excitement to the adventurous, mystic story of the friendship between a girl and a sky serpent from Mayan lore.
