In "Delivered on Christmas" (published by Xlibris), author Dean McFalls launches an anthology - 40 years in the making - that leads readers across two pivotal decades, 1973-1993. At the same time, it impels them to journey deeper into the meaning of Christmas: "What difference does the Incarnation of God in Jesus Christ make in my personal life, my circumstances, my family and the destiny of our planet?"

"Readers from 10 to 100 will find something in the book for them, regardless of their faith-tradition, nationality, or circumstances in life," McFalls says. "Many readers will consume the book from beginning to end. They'll be drawn by the action, the rhythm, the drama, and the illustrations - then sense the power of God's presence bringing new vision, encouragement, motivation and the call to be an agent of transformation."

Like a galloping horse, the anapestic tetrameter (exemplified by the classic "Night before Christmas," after which McFalls' 15 annual poetic episodes are patterned) carries readers across a landscape of convincingly real adventures to a personal encounter with Christ. They are led to an active, relevant and more intelligent faith-commitment, taking seriously the critical issues of today impacting all of humanity.

McFalls has immersed himself for 45 years in addressing these issues: as an educator, a missionary, an international activist in citizen diplomacy and issues of justice, poverty and peace, a writer of four hundred articles, a Roman Catholic priest and, since 2015, as a married man and the father of a heaven-sent son.

"If this anthology awakens in you a deeper awareness of God's Spirit at work - inspiring greater awe, wonder, and gratitude - it will have succeeded. I hope that you and your loved ones will be drawn closer to the God who drew near to us in Bethlehem." McFalls adds, "I'm working on four more books to finish what this first one has begun."
