Dee V. Hill Reveals His Story in New Autobiography

Dee V. Hill is a man who has lived a life that cannot be typified by labels or stereotypes. Over the course of many years, he has undertaken a diverse variety of careers and has achieved a multitude of feats - from beating the daredevil Evel Kneivel at his own game twice, to surviving cancer in his right lung. Above all else, though, Hill sees himself as a thrill-seeker, for the ultimate thrill in life is to live it to the fullest, as he did, by seeking out the most exciting experiences and partaking in them with gusto. Now he tells his tale in The Life and Times of a Super Salesman and a Thrill Seeker, which contains no less than 250 short stories from his life.

In his memoir, Hill recounts a menagerie of events and deeds, from his time as a high-stakes gambler, to his days as a passionate lover and poet. He recalls the excitement of being an actor and an athlete, and the successes he saw as a super salesman and the records he set in the hearing aid business, which he partook in for over 45 years. He also chronicles his battle with cancer in his right lung, and how he defeated it using meditation. The short stories in Hill's biography are as varied as his own life experiences, and include accounts of touching family moments, to amusing anecdotes of encounters with celebrities, such as the aforementioned Evel Kneivel, who Hill met and bested over a game of pool.

The book also comes with a collection of photographs, snapshots into Hill's past, and poetry, rhymes and verses from the author's soul. One of the poetic pieces is titled "From Life - To Death," a reflective work that sings to the heart with lyrics saying:

"We only know of life, upon this earth, / That painful joy, of giving birth. / Thy sun, thy moon, and every star at night, / Each seems to specify, a certain light. / For we think not, of life alone, / Oft we dream, of going home. / For tis you my father, from which we came, / And back to you, we will go the same."

Insightful and sincere, The Life and Times of a Super Salesman and a Thrill Seeker is a snapshot into the life of a man who has 'been around,' a modern day renaissance man who has lived a full life, and whose experiences can impart invaluable lessons to the next generation.
