When her twins turned three, the preparations for the 'big day' took up most of author Dee Dee Colabella's time for she wanted the event to be one of the most memorable moments in her little ones' lives. As she prepares to introduce her children to their first ever 'big kid' beds, Colabella looked for books that can aid her on the 'how to's' of going through each step yet she could not find one. She decided to write a children's book that captures the magical moment of her twins' moving day with an aim to reach out and make each child's transition day a memorable and magical one too.
According to parents.com, toddlers from ages 18 months to 3 years are the ones who often have that transition in their lives - moving from their cribs to their very own first 'big-kid bed.' "A New World in my Room" perfectly captures the excitement of both the parents and the children during that pivotal moment. This story brings the family into a world created during the transition from cribs to 'big kid' beds as they join Tia and Tommy while they step into their very own room and onto their first beds, creating a wonderful world of imagination and adventures right after.
A short yet engaging and entertaining read, "A New World in My Room" is the right book both for parents and their little ones - a guide to that 'moving day' they are preparing for.
