"No One to Call Me Mommy: A Journey of Hope and Healing Through the Pain of Infertility": provides companionship, strength, and a voice to break through the isolation of infertility.
Girls grow up wanting to be mothers. From a very early age, they play and pretend with dolls. In teenage years, girls practice mothering skills while they babysit. Motherhood is one of the crowning glories of being a woman. But what if it doesn't happen? One never hears the words, "You're pregnant" or feel life inside of them, and infertility moves in. Infertility is a life-questioning event. It invades the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual being of a woman. Women who face it tend to crawl into a protective, isolative shell.
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Debra Busetti's new book follows one woman as she tells of her journey with infertility. "No One to Call Me Mommy: A Journey of Hope and Healing Through the Pain of Infertility" is the creation of published author, Debra Busetti. Throughout her Christian walk, Debra Busetti has faced many challenges. These challenges have drawn her closer to God. She did not realize that one of the greatest challenges she would face was with the role of motherlessness. This role brought her to a place of intimacy with God that she didn't know existed. For over twelve years, Debra has been on her journey with infertility. Along the way, there have been many moments of anger and mistrust, but obedience brought healing moments, which moved her beyond the great loss and grief. Debra has been in Christian ministry for over thirty years. She has taught and worked with all ages in the church setting. Debra has also had the privilege of teaching all grades through Bible College in a Christian School setting. In the last ten years, God has drawn Debra to focus her ministry on teaching and leading women to a deeper walk with the Lord. Debra is a Christian counselor, speaker and writer. She has a bachelor's degree in social work and master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in religious education. Debra lives with her husband, Dan, in Colorado.
