Deborah Opara captures the highs and lows of growing up in "Whatever Goes Around Comes Back Around" (published by Xlibris). In her debut novel, Opara charts a young girl's coming-of-age journey while exploring themes of alienation, self-esteem and family. "Whatever Goes Around Comes Back Around" is centered on the life and experiences of 14-year-old Savannah. Her parents tragically passed away in 2011 and so she has had to live with her stepmother and triplet sisters. Savannah moves into a new town with her adoptive family, an awkward experience further compounded by a classmate who backstabs her. As homecoming approaches, the young girl must decide if she is strong enough to rise above her bully.

Opara, a young author, writes with candor and courage, giving voice to the common struggles of being a teenager. "Whatever Goes Around Comes Back Around" is a tale of growing up and finding one's place in an ever-shifting world.
