In her new book "The Haunting of Wolfe Haven" (published by iUniverse), author Debbie A. Heaton draws inspiration from her work in the mental health field to present a story of second chances.

"The Haunting of Wolfe Haven" is a riveting story set in Sante Fe, New Mexico, the last vestige of the Old West, where lives collide and coalesce in a backdrop of unfulfilled love, unrequited romance, the ravages of betrayal, murder, the mystery of the unknown and the devastation of arson. Intrigue and high drama unfold in a rare show of humanity alongside the dark side of human nature.

"We live in an unpredictable world," Heaton says, "where we sometimes make wrong decisions and suffer the negative consequences of those choices. The story is about people embracing the bad choices, turning them around and approaching life in a positive manner while pursuing a second chance at something important. I think that's what we would all like to do at times and the book really illustrates that second chances are worth the journey."
