No marriage is perfect and many will find defeat and hardships at some point in life. Most of the time situations feel unbearable and many want to take the easy way out. For some, though, they fight through the mess and end up having a stronger marriage.

If anyone knows the hardships of marriage, it would be Dean Schendel. Throughout his marriage to his wife, they endured tough times, but divorce was never an option for him. Unfortunately, his wife thought otherwise and Schendel went through a divorce that he never desired - despite all of the fighting he did.

After his divorce, Schendel spent a lot of time focusing on the Scriptures and trying to find answers to why everything was happening around him.

To share his story and biblical advice for other marriages, whether struggling or healthy, Schendel wrote "Oneness" that is based on what the Scriptures have to say in regards to keeping a covenant regardless of difficulties.

"I sensed that God was calling me to write this book. God wanted me to communicate that his children are to remain faithful to the vows taken on their wedding day and not search for ways out of marriage," Schendel said.

Throughout "Oneness" readers will learn how selfishness is the main issue in a relationship and how Jesus Christ is the solution. Readers will also catch a glimpse in what God requires out of the husband and wife in a marriage.
