Davin Jamison finds himself in a bad situation, but he has the chance to correct his predicament by entering a cross-country motorcycle race from Seattle to Miami. Through his hard work, he fulfills his dreams of leaving a legacy that also becomes a moment in the history of high-performance sports.

In the first installment of a three-book series, authors David and Ta'Lishia Batts - also known as The Authors Batts - have created an action-adventure world that is a blend of lust, love and wealth in "Hard Acceleration" (published by Archway Publishing).

"This book tells of an underprivileged individual that prevails against all odds in a very entertaining way," the authors explain. "Every day we feel a sense of disadvantage, but must not surrender and continue against the odds to succeed in life... We want the readers to know that we are committed to their holistic entertainment. We put our readers in mind with every thought and idea that is incorporated in our work."

The authors also have written a six-novel series, entitled "The Love/Action Series," that deals with the ups, downs and side-to-side life adventures and romances of a circle of friends.
