COCONUT CREEK, Fla., June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ It was learned today as expected the new book by David Merkatz, "Wrongly Charged" A Look At The Legal System, became a #1 Bestseller on Amazon.com. Even during the pre-release the demand for the book was large.

Merkatz and two fellow Locksmiths from the South Florida were arrested in 2013, and were charged with a host of charges ranging from Burglary to Money Laundering.Merkatz with his partners had legally registered Fictitious Names of larger competitors that were similar, but not exact to the competitors. His websites did not look anything like the competitor's sites, and even had a disclaimer at the bottom that his company was not related to the competitor's site, and even included a link to the competitor's site.

Merkatz was inspired to write his book, to help others that have run into this injustice, and has started a fund to donate 10% of any profits of this book to help others that find themselves in the same situation.

The book is NOT only a book on his story; he actually made this book an asset to anyone interested in the law. Some chapters in the book discuss why people actually plead GUILTY to crimes they did not commit, how the bail bond system works, the process of removing convictions from personal records, how to get out of a traffic ticket if you are pulled over by the police, and much more information pertaining to the legal system. The book also contains a legal glossary of common legal terms.

Merkatz said in one of his latest radio talk show interviews, that state laws should to be revised to reimburse criminally charged victims who are found NOT GUILTY by a trial, or whose charges are dismissed."In a CIVIL case, the winner can ask for court costs and reasonable attorney's fees," Merkatz said. He stated that even when you WIN at a trial you still LOSE. States NEVER remove the Criminal Charges from your record, if they are dismissed or you are found NOT guilty. The charges remain on the record and risks ruining the reputation of those found not guilty. His hope is that this new book will educate the public on how the criminal justice system "REALLY WORKS."

His new book has drawn a great deal of Media Attention, and Merkatz has been interviewed on over 35 Major Radio stations, and has TV appearances upcoming. The book is available at Amazon.com, Barns & Noble.com & Books A Million. His eBook is currently discounted at Amazon.com through June 30, 2015.
