David Reynolds' latest mechanics book, "Mechanics Made Easy: How to Solve Mechanics Problems" (published by Trafford Publishing), will supplement standard introductory-level high school, college and university texts dealing with the subject of mechanics.

"Mechanics Made Easy" covers common mechanics topics: statics, dynamics and kinematics. Mechanics is a branch of applied mathematics that studies moving objects as well as objects which are subjected to forces. This book provides an insight into the relationships between mass, time, distance, velocity, momentum, acceleration, force, energy and power. These relationships make it possible to use mathematical techniques to quantify, model and solve problems when studying issues arising in nature and in many fields of human endeavor.

"Mechanics Made Easy" consists of more than 300 mechanics problems, each with its own step-by-step, fully-worked solution. More than 500 concise diagrams are provided to assist understanding of both problems and solutions. Reynolds says that working through these problems can help any student improve problem-solving skills and gain the confidence to tackle further questions.

"I felt the standard textbooks provided insufficient worked examples," Reynolds says, "and entertained the idea of writing my own textbook."
