Daniel Perez Pens Love Poems in '[two]'

An original collection of poetry, "two" (published by Lulu) by Daniel Perez, submerges the reader into the reality of finding perfection in love. With personal Polaroids scattered throughout the pages to demonstrate the beauty of the muse, Perez has taken the topic of love with the intention of reinventing it.
Unlike other poetry books, "[two]" is written in chronological order and tells a story that takes place over the span of about one month. "I like to think that poetry can be used to tell stories," explains Perez, "and usually most people don't read a poetry book from cover to cover but my books are meant to be read from cover to cover because of the stories the reader can clearly follow as they journey through each poem."
"[two]" is actually the name of the muse who inspired Perez's poems and is the main character in the book. To Perez, [two] is the definition of beauty, and he even challenges the beauty of the goddess Aphrodite from Greek mythology in comparison with [two].
An excerpt from "[two]":
"Yielding perfection with faults,
and if Aphrodite appears before me to say that I'm wrong
I'll stare her in the eyes and tell her due to time someone
possessing greater beauty came along."
Perez writes so that readers who have ever searched for or experienced love can enjoy the message.

About the Author
Daniel Perez published his first book at age 16. Now 19, Perez has published six books. He graduated from Washington International School and is currently studying theater at American University. Perez designs the covers for all of his books. Experience has shaped who he is as a person, including not having met his father, dealing with drug addiction, anorexia, depression and anxiety. While it seems like these are very personal details, he wants to let others know they are not alone so he can potentially help them through his writing.
