The Frick, in association with Scala Arts Publishers, has published Director's Choice-The Frick Collection, the next in a prestigious series of Director's Choice volumes. This book caps off a remarkable year of publications at The Frick Collection.

The museum's permanent collection has inspired a number of recent publications: In a New Light: Giovanni Bellini's "St. Francis in the Desert" (February; published in association with D Giles Ltd.), a substantial volume on one of the most beloved pictures in the Frick's collection; The Frick Collection: Decorative Arts Handbook (June; published in association with Scala), the first handbook devoted to the museum's decorative arts collection; and Limoges Enamels at The Frick Collection(September; D Giles Ltd.), written by Frick Director Ian Wardropper. Exhibition catalogues from 2015 include Coypel's Don Quixote Tapestries: Illustrating a Spanish Novel in Eighteenth-Century France and Leighton's Flaming June.Additionally, the Center for the History of Collecting--an initiative of the Frick Art Reference Library-published A Market for Merchant Princes: Collecting Italian Renaissance Paintings in America (January; Pennsylvania State University Press).
