Author Simon Cambridge writes about the harrowing experiences he went through as he fought for reunification with his beloved daughter in "Denied! Failing Cordelia" (published by Xlibris). It also shows the intense legal battles that traumatized both him and his daughter and left him with distrust for the American child-welfare legal complex.
"Denied! Failing Cordelia" follows the author's fight to keep his daughter Cordelia who has special needs and his own struggles with Asperger's syndrome. This touching story shows how the author was willing to do whatever it took to keep his family together, even if it meant going through years of grueling legal battles with various child protective agencies and learning the skills necessary to properly take care of his daughter. It also shows how insensitive and prejudicial the Los Angeles Dependency-Court and other child service groups were to his plight and to helping him to heal his family.
This is a story of a father who would do whatever it took to care for his child with severe reactive attachment disorder. "Denied! Failing Cordelia" captures one man's remarkable determination to do what he believed to be right for his daughter.
