Author Corbett A. Davis, Jr. has always loved storytelling. This is why ever since he first forayed into the publishing scene with his debut novel "The Deadly Reef," he has been excited to write a sequel. Now, the long wait is over for his avid fans as he comes back with the second installment to that maiden book. "DEAD LOW" will engross mystery fiction fans in a story that tackles controversial issues surrounding medical tourism and illegal harvesting of human organs.

"DEAD LOW" follows the story of a lovesick jeweler, motivated by that love and guilt, searching for the girl of his dreams. For the first time since Powell Taylor and Dawn Landry hit town in The Florida Keys, they were both beginning to question their once hot love affair. After a meaningless argument that neither would later remember, Dawn suddenly disappeared from a Key West hospital.

Once Powell's fears are confirmed, time is quickly running out for Dawn's survival. With the help of his friend Captain Limbo, the two embark on a treacherous journey that eventually leads them across the Gulf Stream into Cuba. It is not until their cursed encounter with the crew of an antiquated rusty hulled ship docked in Havana, Cuba that Dawn's fate is fully revealed.

Aside from telling a good story, the book is set in one of the most popular destinations in the world that lures millions of tourists each year. The adventurous journey from the lower Keys of Florida across the Gulf Stream to Cuba is filled with detail and excitement. It is accompanied by boats, palm trees, romance, disappointment and hope. All of these create the perfect environment for murder and the illegal harvesting of human organs.

With its controversial plot, backed by Davis' first-hand knowledge and experience, "DEAD LOW" is a novel that will surely captivate readers and may get them contaminated with the travel bug that pulls them down south. Moreover, the constant debate on the pro's and con's of American citizens traveling to Cuba and the rise of illegally harvested organs available on the black market today makes this story all the more alluring.
