Cynthia Stock Releases THE FINAL HARVEST OF JUDAH WOODBINE

Inspired by her husband's lifelong struggle with the effects of polio, author Cynthia Stock wrote her new fiction, "The Final Harvest of Judah Woodbine" (published by iUniverse).

"I have always been moved by stories about people who overcome great adversity, survive and continue to grow, and who find peace despite the tragedies that are all too common in life," Stock says. "My husband survived polio and a two-year separation from his family. Judah Woodbine is his alter ego."

"The Final Harvest of Judah Woodbine" tells the transformational story of Judah, a man who was forced into early retirement due to a physical decline from post-polio syndrome. When his wife becomes the sole breadwinner of the household, he feels lost and alone. One early morning in a sleepy haze, he accidentally kills his wife and suffers deep pain from the experience.

Her death thrusts Judah into his past, where he relives the traumas of his childhood. Armed with the perspective clarity of adulthood, he casts off old insecurities and chooses to take control of his life, moving in a new direction.
