Author Cynthia H. Wise will be releasing Portrait of Rage, the first novel in her paranormal book series, this Halloween.
A Georgia native, Cynthia truly believes in writing what you know. Portrait of Rage, as well as the rest of the novels in her paranormal book series, The Marcel Experience, are set in Marietta, Georgia, allowing for these dynamic, and sometimes dangerous, magical characters to defeat villains, solve mysteries, and fight for justice-all within walking distance.
Cynthia also uses these supernatural mysteries to address the horrors that take place in the real world. One of these horrors, and a core theme of Portrait of Rage, is child abuse. A significant part of the plot, and of the characters, the topic of child abuse is explored in depth within the novel, informing and educating readers on the issue in a helpful way.
"With my writing, I'm another voice speaking out-reminding," shares Cynthia.
Portrait of Rage centers around Tom Shear, a talented painter who begins having nightmares of battered and abused young girls shortly after moving into his new home. Hoping to stop these troubling dreams, Tom paints his most shocking, haunting collection yet-The Rage Collection-featuring the battered faces of the girls in his nightmares. Only, he begins to realize he isn't dreaming.
Portrait of Rage will be available on October 31st on Amazon.com, Shop.BookLogix.com, and CynthiaHWiseBooks.com.
