Colorado Bookstore Announces Book Giveaway to Encourage Reading

Talking Books Plus, a local bookstore in Lakewood, Co., is giving away one free paper or hardback book to anyone who comes into their bookstore in February 2017. The free book giveaway is part of their Bookstore Challenge to encourage people to read and to raise awareness of the value of local bookstores.

A recent Pew Research Study found that 25% of Americans have not read a book in the past year. Don and Ceres Huck, owners of Talking Books Plus, looked at that number and decided to do something to encourage more people to read. They came up with the Bookstore Challenge

The Bookstore Challenge is comprised of three parts.

1. Come in and grab a Free book from the thousands of books at their store location. The person will have a their picture taken with the book. The picture will appear on the store's Bookstore Challenge Facebook page.

2. The book must be read in 30 days from the day it was taken

3.The reader of the book must post a brief review of the book on the Facebook page

Bookstore Challenge Reward

Anyone completing the Challenge will receive a 50% discount off their next purchase.
