Class Act Books publishing announces the release of the newest entry in the Hugh Winslow mystery series.

Written by R.W. Weiss, the series centers around retired Chicago detective Hugh Winslow who moves with his wife to the solitude of Lodgepole, Montana, where he plans to indulge his hobby of painting and raising his two malamutes. Soon, he discovers the far West can be as violent as the Windy City. When a murder occurs, Hugh is recruited by the local sheriff, and finds himself back at work, this time as a deputy.

The series has been characterized by Paranormal Romance Guild reviews as the "hallmark of a good mystery novel."

Unlike his fictional hero, R.W. Weiss was an English teacher for 35 years before becoming a writer. He does live in Montana, however, and like Hugh Winslow, is am amateur artist, as well as composer. Death is Magical is the fourth entry in the Hugh Winslow series. Other titles include Death is Overdue (the debut novel), Death is Deeded, and Death is Written.

Class Act Books is celebrating its second year under new ownership. It publishes all genres, including romance, Westerns, mysteries, SciFi, fantasy, and horror. It is proud to include among its writers many international and award-winning authors.
