The newspaper received more than 250 nominations for its annual supplement and a committee made up of professors and retired doctors selected the final 40 to be featured. The issue was published on January 21, 2019.

The Citrus Valley Health Partners (CVHP) physicians who earned the Top Doctor distinction are Fahed Bitar (Cardiology), Claudia Muñoz (Neurology) and Edward Tangchitnob (OB/GYN).
Dr. Bitar serves as the medical director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Inter-Community Hospital in Covina. He helped spearhead the development of a structural heart program, bringing the latest treatment advancements, such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), to the hospital. His specialty is interventional cardiology. Dr. Muñoz is a neurohospitalist and acts as the medical director of Neurosciences at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina. Dr. Tangchitnob is the medical director of Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery at Queen of the Valley. He was also recently certified as a Master Surgeon in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation and helped the hospital reach designation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery.
