Colorful characters collide with calamities, creating catastrophes that carry carefree conclusions in "Skat and the Princess Brat" (published by Trafford Publishing), the whimsical new fairy tale by Christyna Jensen.

A humorous tale with origins in Norse mythology, "Skat and the Princess Brat" introduces Skat, a young light-elf with a cheerful disposition but a lack of common sense. Ever the lothario, he falls in love with every girl he meets and tries in vain to woo them all.

Undeterred by the rejection of his romantic advances, Skat decides to set his sights on bigger goals. Annoyed by Odin's unfair banishment of all the light-elves from Asgard, Skat vows to find a way to get his people back into paradise, but the Norse gods aren't amused by his mischievous antics.

Underneath it all, Skat is a loveable scamp who believes that all creatures should be treated fairly. He manages to get into his fair share of scrapes, but his courage and charisma always carry him through. In the end, only a few selfish creatures can resist his many charms - or can they?

"Elfin stories are often just for youngsters," Jensen writes. "However, this one was written to entertain them and their entire family. So a wide variety of characters are involved in thrilling events to excite everyone's interest."
