Inspired by authors such as J.K. Rowling and the exciting magical adventures of Harry Potter, teenage author Christopher S Dodd put pen to paper and has written his own fantasy epic, "The Golden Circle: The Dark World Trilogy Book One" (published by AuthorHouse).
"The Golden Circle" tells the story of Bria, a young middle-class girl who is kidnapped from her home town in Vordona. The kidnapping sets Bria on a journey through the Sharkain World toward the Forbidden Realm - a place of magic and powerful individuals.
As it becomes apparent that Bria's entire life has been a lie, the Queen reveals a very dark secret about the young girl's past. Now, coming to terms with her new responsibilities in the world, Bria must make choices - choices that will lead to unimaginable sacrifice.
"Bria, a normal working-class girl, depicts the everyday scenario of people working to make a living," Dodd explains about his heroine, "but as we all know, nothing of the future is certain."
Dodd's first book in his Dark World trilogy is creatively written, constructed from the mind of a young teenager whose own imagination creates a story with a number of unforeseen twists.
