Christian Book 'Power and Glory Unveiled in Mark's Gospel' is Released

Dr. Raymond J. Zeman details the "Power and Glory Unveiled in Mark's Gospel" (published by Xlibris) to convey to his readers his steadfast belief that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of both Old and New Testament prophecies, that these are occurring now and that the end times have come. He gives them reason to rejoice as he explains that those who trust in God are to receive peace and abundance in their next lives.

According to Zeman, Mark's Gospel is the briefest of the four gospels, but is frequently more vivid and detailed than the parallel accounts in Matthew and Luke. Written principally for the Roman world, this Gospel presents Christ as the Servant of the Lord, emphasizing the Passion of Jesus, sent to minister and to give his life a ransom for many. It is a book of deeds and contains short discourses and few parables. Christ fulfills Messianic prophecies as found in Isaiah 42:1-21; 49:1-8; 50:4-11; 52:13-15; 53:1-12, and Zechariah 3:8-10. Those verses encompass Christ's ministry of miracles, fellowship with sinners, selection of disciples and teaching multitudes, all of which in turn revolved around self-giving love.

"This then climaxed at the cross followed by His glorious Resurrection with His mission unveiling His Power and Glory," according to Zeman. Dr. Raymond J. Zeman received his BSMS degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Engineering. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and a Doctor of Biblical Studies and Ph.D. degrees from Bethany Theological Seminary. He has served as a corporate executive and director of numerous companies and as a visiting lecturer at various colleges and universities. In addition, he was a pastor of two Massachusetts churches, retired from both, and moved his consulting, Bible teaching, and writing to North Carolina. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board Case Western Reserve University, School of Engineering, and a Bible teacher for various North Carolina churches.
