It is 2030 and the world has changed. London is a closed city and the rest of the world is in a state of disorder. The United Nations no longer exists and every country is left to fend for itself.

"FOREST OF LIES", a fast-paced thriller for young teens written by author Chris Speyer, is set in a world where governments employ draconian laws to control the social upheaval brought about by climate change. Sea levels have risen, forcing whole populations to move. It follows the story of Mark, a well-off city kid who is forced to overcome his prejudices and to find courage he did not know he possessed when he becomes caught up in his friend Ashanti's struggle to rescue young refugees from a brutal concentration camp.

His Aunt Megan's farm is confiscated and the lives of the young climate refugees she is protecting are plunged into danger. To undo the damage, Mark must find Ashanti, and together, they must face the ruthless officers of FIST-The Force for Internal Security and Terrorism, the national defense agency of Great Britain. Will he be able to find Ashanti and the real perpetrators behind the catastrophic events?

"FOREST OF LIES" is a gripping adventure story filled with plenty of twists and turns set in a shockingly believable near-future. It has all the excitement of a good thriller and is sure to become a blockbuster hit
