Teaching children how to help the environment just became much more fun with the release of the e-book, "It's Easy Being Green." The book addresses the questions: Why plant trees? What is carbon dioxide? Why should we recycle? These questions are posed by a group of colorful backyard vegetables to the brother and sister duo, Larisa and Alex in their quest to discover what it means to be more "green."
The vegetable characters Bushie Broccoli, Mushie Mushroom, Pepi Pepper and Crunchie Carrot guide the two siblings to explore how recycling, conserving electricity and carpooling can have a positive effect on the environment. In becoming more mindful of how their actions affect the earth, Alex and Larisa learn that it is easy to be "green."
The author Andra Rozentals strives to inspire kids with her artwork and books. Sprinkled throughout the pages of "It's Easy Being Green" young readers will find inspirational quotes placed on posters and garden plaques. Also found within the pages of the book is the inspirational mantra "Today I Can Do Anything" . Andra said, "I love what the TICDA brand (co-founder Mark Wahlberg) stands for and their vision to inspire kids with a simple but yet empowering phrase. I appreciate their partnership by approving the use of their logo in the book. The TICDA motto aligns with the positive messages I aim to create in my work."
