In her new book, "A Meditation Journey for Beginners" (published by Balboa Press), author Cheryl Forrest provides a step-by-step, seven-week program designed to help beginners start their meditation journey.

"For years my students have been asking me to put what I teach into writing," Forrest explains. "One day in meditation my Guidance encouraged me to write 'A Meditation Journey for Beginners.'"

Forrest maintains that meditation has been practiced as a spiritual discipline within all religions for thousands of years. Leaning on her 40-year background in teaching meditation and spiritual development, Forrest shares with her readers many meditation techniques.

"You are the most important person in your life," Forrest says. "Meditation helps you discover and unfold that truth."
