Author Charles RedCloud met Averella Gerren on Kauai Island in Hawaii. From there, they became soul mates. Their commitment to keep an email conversation going and the quality of what they were sharing with each other soon had RedCloud thinking of writing a book about it.

"HEAD AND HEART" (published by Xlibris) tells the story of two people (Head and Heart) who are separated by a vast physical distance. Through email conversations, they grow closer and closer until Heart asks Head to marry him. Her lack of responsiveness to his question rapidly leads to an ever-deepening friendship and the email book continues.

Head and Heart's story explores an emerging friendship form (an "integral" friendship) and what they both come to realize about themselves and each other as a result of their shared commitment to the process.

'The secret to any successful exploration of a quality friendship is the quality of relationship with the Triune God, with the Divine. These two realities are in direct dynamic relationship with each other" says the author.
