Cedric Buhagiar marks his debut in the psychological horror genre with "Abstract Reality." This new novel will send readers on a rollercoaster ride into the dark recesses of the human psyche where haunting memories become as tangible and dangerous as the real world. It is in this landscape of fear and darkness that the novel's protagonist, Rick Ironside, struggles to regain control of his life and sanity.
A cop by profession and a heavy metal band member by passion, Rick is haunted by a traumatic childhood. He meanders down his life struggling to balance his social life on one hand and his more turbulent private life on the other. Rick's already complex state of mind becomes even more volatile when he is thrust at the center of a grisly crime. The incident reunites him with his sister and together they must uncover the horrific truth behind the case while confronting demons from their past. In the pandemonium that ensues, Rick must not only stay on top of the game but remain in control of his sanity.
Suffused with menace and an immediate air of danger, "Abstract Reality" is an intricate tale of horror, trauma and the mysterious, almost impenetrable realm of the human subconscious. Buhagiar's stunning debut will have readers clinging to the edge of their seats from beginning to end.
