"Shy Violet Blue": an adorable and refreshing children's fable is the creation of published author, Carla Nagel, a third-generation native New Yorker.
Carla studied and graduated from Hilbert College located in Hamburg, New York. She is a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Throughout the past several years, she has served as a drama coach. Carla has written and directed many skits while working with students of various ages as well as in a variety of churches. While working as activity director in a local assisted living facility, she has enjoyed building a drama club while working with the seniors. Carla's passion for writing has been a lifelong source of enjoyment and outreach.

Violet's love for her pet is the motivation she needs to make some changes. This is an endearing story about love, growth, and development. In the end, it is love that sets her free.
