LONDON, May 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/
Words that bleed with emotion but serve as Band-Aids for the temporary holes in her heart, Carina Pellius' first compilation of poems establishes hers as a fresh, powerful new voice in the literary sphere. A black author, Pellius, has been writing since the age of 11 and, encouraged by the growing recognition and publication of poetry, is joyful to become part of the emerging literary movement of black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) writers.
Displaying an accomplished range and host of different styles, "Band-Aids, Bullet Holes and Bleeding Words" is published by AuthorHouse UK and offers a poetry that is distinctly unique. Pellius' verse does not necessarily rhyme and some works carry the distinct tone of spoken word. All trigger a variety of emotions exploring the broad expressive spectrum - funny, ecstatic, contemplative and heart breaking.
Later works within the collection draw deeply from her personal experiences and emotional journey, to which readers can easily relate or, she hopes, even be inspired by.
"Band-Aids, Bullet Holes and Bleeding Words" by Carina Pellius is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
