Canadian Artist Announces Book Project

The artist, writer, and muralist trades his artistic services for food and shelter along the way. From painting murals in Mexico cities, to organizing art shows in California, Adair has managed to fund his trip through giving back to the communities that have welcomed him thus far.Adair has announced the launch of his Kickstarter campaign, which is a project that has developed along his journey. His goal is create a book, "Picnics in Paradise", that highlights the many artists he has met and collaborated with along the way. The book will essentially showcase talented artist that are spread throughout the world, which may not otherwise have exposure. Adair explains, "The point of the book is to show people how amazing the world can be if you approach it with open arms and an open heart".

He also funds his journey through his postcard club, where members receive hand drawn pieces of artwork via painted postcards as he pedals his way through the Americas. Adair also paints hostels, restaurants, murals, commissioned pieces, and surfboards for people and shops he meets along the way.Although Adair uses no map, compass, or tracking device. For the amount of distance he has traveled thus far, he believes he has cycled about 8000 km. Adair comments on his inspiration, "I wanted to go snowboarding in Chile, so I looked at a globe and saw a road that goes all the way there. I figured why not hop on my bicycle and see all the beautiful places between here and there?" At the time, he had never even been on an overnight trip on his bicycle before.Adair's Kickstarter fund is about half way reached with 9 days left to go.
