SILVER SPRING, Md.
Author J.B. Ralph fascination with horses as employees, riding into the sunset without dignity, inspired him to write "Confessions of a Movie Cowboy's Horse" (published by Xlibris).
In the book, a talking horse is interviewed as he lightly compares his life, his working conditions, self-worth, job satisfaction and future as compared to those issues with humans who work for a living. Through the book, Ralph shows examples of the history, interdependence, and life and working condition similarities and differences between horses and people. The book's easy-to-read narrative illustrates the past and present value of horses that should and can be noted and appreciated as a part of our social history.
Ralph notes that people often compare their jobs to being worked as a horse, dog or as an ox. He hopes that readers will learn from the book to have a "reasonable satisfaction with and appreciation for their own job, a personal good feeling and regained self-worth."
