Yoga teacher and author Ginger Graf Dunaway shares her six steps to achieving lasting happiness in her new self-help guide "Choose Spirit Now: Wake Up to an Exquisite Life" (published by Balboa Press).

Based on the ancient practice of yoga and Helen Schucman's modern-day sacred spiritual text "A Course In Miracles," Dunaway's "Choose Spirit Now" guides readers to enduring joy through reaching for spiritual awakening.

Dunaway explains that most people are living immersed in a thought and belief system of the ego that is completely responsible for their stress, anxiety, insecurity and many other forms of suffering. She says as the ego bogs them down in the busyness of life, people forget they have a right to happiness, contentment and absolute wholeness.

"It's all about nonjudgmental observation as you move along this path, eventually realizing that there is no path," Dunaway said. "There is only the now, which extends for eternity, and the ability to live awake in this eternal moment."
