CHANNEL SURFING Author Mike Pingel to Speak at Bent-Con, 12/2

Mike Pingel, 1970s TV expert and author of Channel Surfing: Charlie's Angels, Channel Surfing: Wonder Woman & The Brady Bunch: Super Groove after all these years, will be a part of a panel this Sunday, Dec 2, 2012 at Bent-Con being held in Burbank, Calif.

BENT-CON PANEL: Who Goes There? LGBTQs and Genre Television. The panel will be discussing various television shows that have highlighted gay characters and how their presence has changed over the decades. The panel will chat from Charlie's Angels, Bewitched, Lost in Space, Buffy, to Wonder Woman Rich Thigpen will be moderating the panel. The panel is scheduled for Sunday afternoon from 3-4 pm.

Pingel's recently released Channel Surfing: Charlie's Angels by Mike Pingel – looks into the world of these beautiful detectives to uncover interviews with Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Cheryl Ladd, Jaclyn Smith and Tanya Roberts. Plus episodes, toys, location shooting, plus more! This is a re-launch of the original book called: The Q (queer) Guide to Charlie's Angels which was released back in 2008. The book contains everything that was queer guide plus new items.

Channel Surfing: Wonder Woman by Mike Pingel - The book includes the very first-ever complete TV series Wonder Woman episode guide. It looks at all sixty episodes of the series. Learn everything you ever wanted to know about the show's history, toy collecting, Wonder Woman's costume design and Carter's singing career. This is a re-launch of the original book called: The Q (Queer) Guide to Wonder Woman contains a brand-new interview with Lynda Carter. Plus interviews with: show producer Douglas S. Cramer and actors S. Pearl Sharp, Stella Stevens, Joan Van Ark, and Clark Brandon.

December 2012, Mike Pingel will release his sixth book, "Betty White Rules the World" on Amercian's Sweet Heart, Ms. Betty White!

Bent-Con which runs this weekend is a celebration of pop-culture for gay fans of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Comics, Games, Movies, and Books! The event will be held at the Marriott Burbank, Friday, Nov 30-Sunday, Dec. 2,2012.
