C. W. Sparklet, an avid storyteller and author, has completed her new book "The Dirty Snowman": an exciting and happy tale of a snowman who makes new friends and learns to love himself.
C.W. Sparklet has now retired from teaching Pre-kindergarten for the past 33 yrs. Her favorite part of teaching was storytelling. She enjoyed listening to children tell their stories as they too listened to the ones she told each day. She encouraged her parents to read each day to their children. C.W. Sparklet read to her own children every night and even the TV was turned off. Once the children were able to read, they read to her and her husband. Many of her own stories come from ideas she hears children talk about or situations she was inspired by. She believes everyone should listen to their children. She hopes many children keep on dreaming, reading, or maybe writing their own stories.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, C. W. Sparklet's charming tale is great for readers from all backgrounds and ages!
"The Dirty Snowman" is about a snowman who has no confidence in himself after becoming dirty. He also was worried that the boys who made him would not like him anymore. After his walk through the town of "Tissmini" he is helped to see he is wonderful by a very little snow girl who was friendly and happy.
"As a Pre-K teacher I dealt with children that were not liked because of what they wore or what they looked like. This behavior continues today in children which is now called 'Bullying,'" explains author C.W. Sparklet.
