As a mother, daughter and coworker, author C. E. Herman has dealt with her fair share of difficult people both at home and at the office. In "Loving Difficult People at Difficult Times: A Path towards Enlightenment" (published by Balboa Press), Herman shares personal stories and advice collected over her long career to help readers deal with the difficult people in their lives.

"We so often find people around us 'difficult,'" writes Herman. "Why? Can we somehow change the way we look at them so that the aspect we find 'difficult' is no longer a hurdle."

"Loving Difficult People at Difficult Times" details the many types of difficult relationships that hinder growth in a person. Herman draws from her experiences with family and coworkers to demonstrate several conflict management tactics that readers can apply to their own lives. Herman advises readers to analyze the difficult person and try to understand them and their motives.

"Many people in today's society are in search of a better world," Herman explains. "Rather than search for this better world outside themselves, I encourage them to look for it inside. What an amazing discovery, the treasure we are all looking for is there for the taking, lying buried within ourselves."
