In his quest to find the killer, Dr. Yvars travels from New York to Connecticut to Bath, England, and eventually to Nantucket. The suspects he identifies all happen to be high-ranking members of society, esteemed figures in business, science, politics and law. Readers will be left guessing until the very end.

Bruce Forester is a psychiatrist in private practice in New York City and Westchester County, N.Y. He is the author of six previous mysteries and is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
