Author Bruce Forester continues the adventures of his fearless husband-and-wife detective team in his latest suspense novel, "When a Stranger Knocks" (published by AuthorHouse).
In this second installment of a planned 14-book series, psychiatrist Dr. Mort Yvars and his wife, Millie, an assistant district attorney in New York, once again find themselves embroiled in a world of mystery, murder and unexpected twists and turns.
Dr. Yvars specializes in treating patients prone to violence. A young woman, stabbed and bleeding, manages to reach him and give him three blood-drenched notebooks before she dies. She tells the psychiatrist that the identity of her killer is contained within the pages of these diaries, but who is she, and why was she murdered? The rest of the story sets out to answer those questions.
In his quest to find the killer, Dr. Yvars travels from New York to Connecticut to Bath, England, and eventually to Nantucket. The suspects he identifies all happen to be high-ranking members of society, esteemed figures in business, science, politics and law. Readers will be left guessing until the very end.
