Author Brianna S. Moss has been motivated by the families who travel and are displaced because a parent is in the military. She believes that the courage the children and these families display is truly remarkable and is the inspiration for this poignant picture book.

"Antonio the Bear" (published by Xlibris) is a book about a little girl, named Sydney, whose father is in the United States Military. The family goes on temporary duty assignments in various international locations, such as Okinawa, Japan and Quebec City Canada. Sydney starts traveling with her teddy bear, Antonio, originating in Lexington Kentucky, and both are excited as their United States passports start filling up with stamps from their international journeys.

Together, Sydney and Antonio look forward to venturing into the unknown, taking pictures, learning new languages, and visiting many exciting destinations and tourist attractions. Sydney and Antonio are excited by the prospect of change, trying new foods, meeting new friends and learning about different cultures. Sydney tries to make the best of her situation with the constant traveling and new locations. With her parents constantly moving, she looks on the bright side while Antonio helps her adjust and cope with the changes.

Brianna S. Moss hopes that the adventures of "Antonio the Bear" will bring happiness and joy into the readers' lives, as he has brought into hers.
