Author Brian Pigg marks his debut into the literary world with the release of "Metamorphosis by Decree" (published by iUniverse). This tale of fantasy and adventure navigates themes of changing one's world view and breaking from the limitations of old schools of thought and social structure.
Lonely and disillusioned, a young priestess is given a mission by her goddess. She will have to put together a misfit team to change the world, but that will challenge all the structures and ideals she knew as 'right.' Live or die, change is coming. Can she make it? This book is an epic fantasy that applies to the author's life as he has struggled to find his own truth. It is his hope that readers will find theirs too.
An excerpt from the book:
"Kate would probably never see her friends again. She suddenly knew what Bear meant in Nordrigen as she forged down the first hallway. There were honorable ways to die. There were sacrifices that mattered."
A compelling read, "Metamorphosis by Decree" explores shattering old structures and limitations with a female lead who gains strength and understanding. It will appeal to a millennial generation that feels limited and constrained by the old ways and social structures they find limiting.
